This is a pivotal time for public education. There’s a new lens on the issue of equity in schools, like who has access to distance learning. There’s fresh recognition that students must own their own learning to be college- and career-ready. We’re seeing that having a clear school identity and shared values helps school communities come together when it really matters, like now.
So we are bullish on turning educators’ sights from uncertainty to opportunity. Opportunity for schools to make strategic decisions about how to prepare students for college, career and life that are more equitable to ALL students. Opportunity to transform schools from places that emphasize testing to centers of student-driven learning, where students own their own learning. And opportunity to update structures and systems that have held many students back from success.
Inflexion is optimistic about making this time of disruption the moment we begin transforming schools. Inflexion has an evidence-backed road map to help educators with this work. It begins with creating a 21st-century vision of student readiness and a clear school identity. We invite you to learn more about our research on this.
