K-12 schools have made big strides in delivering learning online over the past year. Inflexion has been reinventing to keep pace with the shift to distance delivery.
We’re pleased to announce Portico, a suite of five leadership development services that brings the Inflexion Approach online. Portico provides schools the flexibility to continue making progress on equity, school improvement, and leader professional development however school happens—hybrid, remote, or in person.
Portico lets principals and administrators anywhere follow a sequence of learning activities for their personal leadership development. It includes training modules, a peer community, coaching and tools, all built with student equity at the core.
Developing school leaders who close the opportunity gap
Leaders participating in Portico gain access to off-the-shelf tools that engage all stakeholders—staff, students, families, and community—in school improvement. And they become part of a community of educators who collaborate on changing education for the better.
Portico guides school leaders through building the multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and infrastructure-building that’s necessary to bring opportunity within reach of every student. It helps schools
- Create environments where students own their own learning.
- Carve out instructor time to teach the skills needed for the 21st century.
- Connect the dots between all that happens at a school.
- Create institutional knowledge so newcomers quickly plug into a school’s purpose.
- Discover best and emerging practices and scale them cost effectively across classrooms, schools, and districts.

A model for transforming the student experience – now online
Portico is a key step in Inflexion’s commitment to ensuring every student receives what they need to succeed.
“It’s been a challenge to keep momentum on equity issues during the distance learning era,” notes Heather Golly, Principal of Roosevelt Middle School in Vista Unified School District, a longtime Inflexion client. “But school improvement can’t just take a back seat because instruction is moving back and forth between remote and in person. We’re really excited to see what we can accomplish with Portico and having access to so many of Inflexion’s resources online.”
