Our Purpose

One of the ways we support schools as they develop a strong, shared identity is by working with their community to create maxims. Maxims are statements that act as an organization’s core drivers so they remain focused on their purpose. These statements are used to both highlight areas of strength already within the community and as aspirational statements to reinforce the promises an organization makes to the community.

Inflexion is also committed to sharing a clear identity as a staff and with our partners so we have maxims to keep us focused on how and most importantly WHY we as an organization work with educational leaders to transform the student experience and ensure that every student is ready to transition into their futures.

Inflexion is committed to ensuring EVERY student receives what they need to succeed, recognizing that the playing field remains inherently unequal. An equitable education system respects students as individuals, plays to students’ strengths, values students’ unique cultures and perspectives, and allows for the individual ownership of learning along a path driven by students’ interests and aspirations.

We’re “pragmatic idealists.” We help the groundswell of educators, students, communities, and partners who are dissatisfied with the status quo and motivated to find what really works. We share ideas and best practices from our own experience as educators and administrators, and from other schools and districts in our network. And we strive higher, aiming to infuse idealism and optimism back into education, and reminding ourselves and each other of education’s true power: to open doors; to ignite curiosity; to be catalysts for lifelong learning. To redefine readiness and equip and empower every student to pursue their passion, interests, and aspirations.
